Public Indemnity Insurance Claims
The Liquidators have been provided documents indicating that the company held Public Indemnity Insurance policies at the time it entered Voluntary Administration.
The Liquidators have forwarded all client claims/complaints received to date to the insurers in accordance with the terms of the policies, and will continue to do so as new claims /complaints are received.
Any clients who believe that they may have claims should contact Worrells immediately (if they have not done so already) with the details of their claim/complaint. Clients should ensure that their claim/complaint clearly state the amount of compensation being sought, together with full particulars and documentation of the damage . The claim should also be accompanied with a formal Proof of Debt form (Form 535).
The insurers have notified us that they are currently carrying out their own investigations before they will be in a position to advise us on the coverage of the policies and how client claim/complaints are to be dealt with. The Liquidators will notify clients of the insurers' directions in due course.
Please note that Worrells, at the request of the insurers, are not able to provide clients with the name of the insurers and/or a copy of the policy documents. Clients are however assured that, as stated above, the Liquidators have notified the insurer of all claims/complaints received to date.
